As an expert in his field, Dr. Humberstone performs Chiropractic Peer Reviews and Independent Medical Examinations for many vendors, third party payers, physicians and attorneys. A partial list of vendors is identified below. If you wish to use Dr. Humberstone in conjunction with one of the vendors, you simply need to request that Dr. Humberstone perform the work.

Dr. Humberstone also performs private chart reviews for individual providers to help them improve quality and understand the documentation necessary to establish the need for the good care the doctors provide. Consultations on Private Chart Reviews are available upon request for Chiropractic Physicians in search of quality assurance.

Dr. Humberstone also works directly with attorneys, individual companies/governmental agencies in providing his peer review services.

Utilization Guidelines

Guidelines should represent reasonable and appropriate treatments for optimum recovery.  

1.      Generally as time goes by, one should see an increase in the active care (i.e. exercise), a decrease in the passive care (i.e. muscle stimulation ultrasound etc.), and a fading of treatment frequency generally from three times per week to twice per week with overall total treatment times less than the natural history.

2.      Recheck examinations after six visits to establish functional and objective progress.

3.      Treatment goals document with specific focus on the individual's deficits

4.       The exclusive use of "passive care" (e.g., palliative modalities) is not recommended.

5.       Home programs should be initiated with the first therapy.

6.       Use of self-directed home therapy will facilitate the fading of treatment frequency

The fax that come into our office come from a secure facility which encrypts the data and sends it to my computer desktop. Then it needs to be unencrypted by our staff. They are HIPPA compliant. In this way we can ensure your privacy. They do not lay around in the fax machine which is unattended and they are secure an encrypted.
